Ungrateful People Annoy Me

i am a hypocrit when i say this but most of the time i am thankful to be able to live in a decent place with food and water, air/heat, daily things.

it is one thing to be family, but it is another to just think that you can drop in any time to drop a bomb on us. i am so annoyed!!!

Keenan's sick :(

ugh no pictures or anything, but i just wanted to blog because i've been thinking a lot.

one thing first, as a mommy you should always go with your gut instinct. keenan wasn't feeling good for a while and my husband was telling me to hold off going to urgent care because it seemed like he was getting better. my gut instinct was to take him because he wasn't feeling like his jolly ole self. well i took him when my husband was at work and they found a small start of pneumonia. i was so disappointed in myself that i didn't take him earlier. but, i was thankful that i listened to my mommy instinct.

keenan woke up this morning and his lips were bloody cracked, and he def. was miserable. i absolutely hate seeing him like this. its his first time really being sick and it pains me more than him. i'm mentally trying to stay calm for the sake of all of us. though it may seem i am overreacting sometimes, i can't help it if i just want my baby back to normal. he has been so attached to his daddy lately he didn't even want me this morning. he kept asking for daddy and was crying so much. it broke my heart because Walley works 12hrs and he hardly ever gets a break. it's tough because a lot of times i still feel like a single mother.

i'm so glad i still have my family to talk to. they can put up with the shit i give them sometimes. that's what family is for i suppose. i miss being around them because it doesn't feel so lonely. as of right now keenan is feeling a bit better.

i need to learn how to stand up for myself more geez. ugh.

Keenan. Then and Now

I can believe he has grown this fast, only because I have spent every single day of it with him. I have never been away from him for longer than 6 hours, if that. I guess I can be glad to say that i've seen him grow. There are even days where I say, "man did you grow overnight?" ..haha. But if you ask me if I miss it when he was small, the answer would be, "Yes, but I love it where he is now."

Two years old, the stage of adventures and constant learning. This is where the sponge in his head really starts soaking things in. He has made me proud. He remembers things so well, but he knows so much because he's pretty good at reading emotions like I do. A week ago, he aranged his blocks in the color of the rainbow by himself. I was shocked and tried to keep cool because I didn't want to blow his mojo..lol.

Simple Neutral Eye Look

It has been a while since i've done a youtube video. I am thinking about making more aimed towards monolids, or just whatever I feel like doing. I don't like talking in my videos because I feel like they take forever and some girls just keep yapping. But yeah, I did this look for a friend. It's my everyday eye look. The lighting washes it out but then I ALWAYS get compliments LOL. i must be doing something right?

the eye look is different for everyone because everyone has different eyeshapes. i have to bring my shadows up higher because my brows are further from my eyes. hope you enjoy!

Just a random picture I took today while sitting in the car waiting for the hubs to finish up some paperwork at work...now onto some silly stories..

Does your partner ever do weird things in their sleep? When it comes to sleeping Walley is pretty...unaware of anything else in the real world. He is a deep sleeper, usually when he's really tired, he will often sleep talk. ...and like the person I am, I usually always respond.

One time, he told me to shut the door in hmong, woke up and asked why I shut the door. I'll say the craziest thing he's done was.. he got up and grabbed his wallet while we were napping, then showed me his fake bruce lee id, put it back in his wallet and put his wallet in the drawer. ..well he gets up and asks me if I moved his wallet! crazy I know. he even said while he was sleep talking, "look at this" while showing me the id. lol the best part of this was that this was when i first went to visit him when we started dating.

btw..we've gotten better and have talked about that one issue we were having.

Ok so there aren't a lot of pictures of me on this particular post BUT a few weeks ago, I can't really call her my friend since we only hung out a few times and I had a vibe that she was going to be a shit talker. Why did I hang out with her? I was trying to be nice and give her a chance.

So every since I moved, she has been writing little comments that get at me. Then I finally had it when she wrote on my facebook, "you take a lot of pictures of yourself LOL" in my head I was like, yeah she is trying to cover it up with a laugh. I immediately deleted her. SO WHAT IF DO!?

Goodness, at least they aren't the same outfit or whatever everytime. When I go through my pictures, I see how much i've changed and how much i've grown. It is people like her that get on my nerves. They can't appreciate the art of makeup and don't take care of themselves.

We all have our own insecurities, but goodness, please do whatever you can to take care of them. I work on my insecurities all the time. I really hate my acne, and I am always trying to find ways to help it. The effort I put into it helps, because at least I am trying to make myself feel better. It always seems like when a girl wants to better herself, people immediately think "conceited". Why can't we fix the way we look or take care of ourselves?

If you are one of those girls that constantly talks trash about other girls, please do us all a favor and shut up and look at yourself. This world moves on and the truth is, no one really cares. Please move on and find a new hobby. Ugly in the inside is ugly on the outside. People like me can see right through you.

So the other day I took a caffeine pill along with two tylenols, on an empty stomach. Retarded I know. Well I was puking and felt so ill. The next day I just took two tylenols and felt sick once again. My mom called and I was telling her, and she said that she has the same problem and can only take Ibuprofen. WOW. Keenan Means Everything To Me

One day if this blog is still around and you read this Keenan, just know that I love you.

Having a child is like giving your heart away. I had the baby blues when I had Keenan. I would just stare at him and start crying. I feared for his life because he was so tiny and I wanted to shield him from the world.

If anything ever happened to him, I know for sure I would never be the same again. It is hard raising a child almost by yourself, especially at a young age (i'm 23 but I still think it's sort of young). He will turn 2 soon on the 30th of June. Time does fly by, I remember blogging when he was a newborn. He would just lay there in his bouncer and stare and me as I typed away. Now he runs around and wants to do everything I do.

My MIL doesn't really keep in touch and she called this month asking for some money not knowing that it was both her son and grandson's birthday this month. It bothers me honestly, because the love I have for Keenan is different. I don't expect anything from him and I don't ever want to. I want to be able to take care of him as long as I can. I don't expect him to provide for me when I get older.

I also hate it because I feel like every time she calls, it ruins the mood for my husband and I have to comfort him even though i'm sure he doesn't care. I tell him that I love him and that I am here for him, and to not feel bad. She talks him down and asks him why don't I have a job..which really bothers me because even if I did have a job..it shouldn't be her business. It really gets under my skin!!! When asian people don't support stay at home moms..well what else am I supposed to do? Work at walmart and try to pay for daycare that costs $140+ a week? I don't even think my paycheck will cover that.

So anyways, when someone interferes with our life and disrupts it, I can't help but be more protective of my family. My boys mean everything to me. They know me better than most people probably do..lol.

You know, i've always had it in the back of my head that I never really cared about what I looked like until I got married. Seeing the way my husband made comments about people made me feel insecure, like.."do they think that about me?!" It was a bit scary and it's how i've come to be the way I am today. I'm not as insecure as I used to be because i've learned to accept things and pick at my husband too (haha). He is the way he is, I don't know why but he picks out things that make someone the most insecure about themselves and puts it on full blast sometimes. He's toned down a whole lot since we've been married because i've reminded him many times to think before he says something.

But like my husband, there are many more people out there who can be blunt and rude. I still do care about how I look like, but it's for me and no one else. I feel like the media pressures us to have fake boobs and a perfect face and body. I'm glad that when I go to wal-mart, I don't see walking barbie and ken's everywhere. It reminds me that people are still real, and themselves. I do feel bad for people who are different, but only because I know the mean things other people say about them. Different, in a sense of handicapped, obese, or something really obvious. Some people just dont ever put themselves in someone else's shoe.

I just wanted to get my thought out because as I was doing my exercise reps, I was thinking, "why do i care so much? and why do i keep trying to lose weight when i have nothing to look forward to?" I am currently 140lbs and 5'6" which is thankfully in the healthy range. I do want to tone up, but I'm tired of feeling pressure of having to be super skinny from watching tv. Maybe I should stop watching tv. ..haha. or receiving the VS emails. I don't think I eat bad, I take mile walks most mornings with Keenan and continue to stay moving throughout the day.

Why I've Been Holding Back

There are many things i'd like to do with my life like learn how to play the drums and go on tour with a crazy rock band, work behind the scenes for big film productions, learn how to sew and create designs.

I don't know, as you can see, I like to learn. Even though I hated high school, I like to learn things that interest me. I'm a fast learner, but something always holds me back. There's a good number of things that hold me back actually, but the main one is fear. I am easily discouraged and usually when I fail, I FAIL. Well at least to me, like in my earlier post, I put a lot of pressure on myself to try to perfect something.

I know my husband doubts me and the sad part is I prove him right. He should support me, but I honestly don't know what he wants me to do. He's not the happiest about my career of choice, but he says okay. I know he loves me being a stay at home mom/wife, but when I see people move on with their lives, it makes me want to get out and do something I love.

I just need to believe in myself more. I feel like i've failed in many fields as far as trying to make my parents proud, finishing college, finishing anything really. I just have so much going on in my mind, if I don't write down a list, i'm all over the place. ..like I physically have to write down a list of what I have to do set myself straight. *sigh*

I'm an onion, you have to keep peeling back the layers.

Salux Wash Cloth Raved Item on MUA

Salux wash cloth is a "popular" item in Japan and making it's way here in the states. It's long like in the picture and you're able to wash your back with the cloth. The texture is a bit scratchy but I find that it exfoliates VERY well. My skin always feels soft after this and this lathers up my soap like crazy. ALSO, this dries faster than regular poufs. If they made a pouf version i'd buy this because I usually lather it up and then scrunch it so I can wash my body fast.

Why is this different from a pouf? Because it exfoliates! I've read girls saying it took care of their KP also. Some might be sensitive to this and would use it once a week or so, but I use this everyday because I feel like it gets off all the lotion, sunscreen, dead skin cells on my body at the end of the day.

A Time To Think About My Mom

Yes, it's Mother's Day and it's a good day! I'm going to start off by saying that I love you Mom, for everything we've been through and how hard you work for us.

My mom, best cook I know - cheerful - strong - brave - hard working - and so much more. She too, was a stay at home mom for many years with 4 kids. I don't know how she did it, I tell her all the time that i'm nowhere nearly as strong as she was with us. I go crazy with Keenan! Haha.. But seriously, my mom and I never had the best relationship.

Growing up, I was attached to my mom. I cried everyday going to Kindergarden in fear i'll never see my mom again. I was always happy to be home, come home to her cooking and just be around her. I knew very little of the real drama that was happening between my family. My parents were very good at hiding it from me and my youngest sister.

We moved away from California and that's when things sorta went crazy with my parents. I sort of lost touch with everything. We moved again and in high school I stopped caring about my education because my parents had so much drama going on, I felt like there was nothing to prove. I BS'd my way through high school, and honestly I really hated it. That's when all the drama between my mom and me started. I chopped off my past my butt hair, got a boyfriend, skipped school.. All the things she didn't want. In some ways I guess I could say I wanted the negative attention, mostly from my parents though.

This happened until I met my husband, who at the time was my boyfriend. He was the ultimate NO NO to them. I won't say why on here but my parents tried a lot of things to get me to stop dating him. But seriously, this time I wasn't doing this to get the bad attention, it was really because I found him to be what I want. He was serious, didn't live with his parents, independent. Anyways, some of you know this already but I ranaway and got married to him. Til this day I still don't regret it.)

Well after being a stay at home wife, I realized how much hard work my mom did around the house and working. Laundry, cooking, cleaning - she did that all on top of working. She did my laundry til I was 16. Seriously. I started calling her and telling her that I missed her and I love her for all the hard things I've put her through. It was a whole new side to our relationship. It's been so great because as weird as this sounds, she is sort of my friend now haha. I can tell her things and she won't tell my dad or she'll keep it to herself and she gives me advice that friends would, from an adult point of view. Not only that but she loves Walley. Not fair sometimes haha, but she wants the best for us.

I know she won't get to read this, but she'll be here in a month or so for keenan's 2nd birthday. We're all excited. I love you so much Mama..you can watch as much youtube here when you get here. :)

I Can Feel The Pressure

I've been going through a lot lately, dealing with MYSELF mostly. I've come to realize that I put a lot of pressure on myself even if I do stay at home with my son all day. I like being productive because it makes me feel as if i'm getting things done and moving on with life. I can't stand being lazy.

Lately i've been feeling pressure to do more with life. My son is my motivation to get things done because I want to be able to provide a better future for him, even if that means me working solely just to pay for him to go to a better school. I pressure myself a lot from how I look and what i've cooked that day. If it's a fail then I feel like a slob all day.

I'm not saying i'm going to let loose but that i'm going to try to take it one day at a time and not worry so much.

Moisturize Me Please

First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Cream is a heavy duty moisturizer that makes you wake up to soft skin. I've been reading reviews that this clogs some people's skin so as always, this may or may not work for you. After a layer of Retin A Micro, I use this to combat the dryness the retin a does to my skin. It's extremely important to moisturize after using Retin A because you can break out from having your skin too dry, and the excessive dryness can cause wrinkles :( This cream makes me feel like i've undone all the bad things i've done to my skin during the day.

They have this in a tube form or a tub. You get more in the tub, but I bought the tube for the sake of being sanitary.

Texture: whipped and light, but feels moisturizing. May sting a little but afterwards it calms down. $12 at Sephora

This is the best balm i've used!! The scent is not overpowering and they finally have it in a tube. I don't do any gloss jars because I hate sticking my finger in them. It is hard to squeeze out at first but them melts onto your lips as you apply. $6 at Sephora

It's Just Another Day

Course..he's Keenan with me because he wanted to take pictures too. I've got a number of names I call him but CRAZY is mostly one of them. His allergies have been acting up lately so i've had to use the bulb syringe a number of times to get his snot out. He hates it and screams bloody murder when I hold him down, but he knows that it does help him sleep better. Anyways, I left the bulb on the floor next to the bed last night and what do you know...I wake up to Keenan trying to stuff it in my nose!!! Crazy? Yes! silly little man.

I'll do a few beauty blogs but I've agreed with another blogger that we've spent so much money due to reading beauty blogs..haha. Its an expensive hobby. But I've found my HG's in many products.

Keenan, I call him my third leg. He's glued onto me, most of the time whatever room I stay in, he is in also. He sleeps in bed with me, eats with me, goes almost everywhere with me. I don't mind it most of the time, but I do need ME time sometimes.

This new job the husband has, has been taking it's toll on me. He's gone for 12 long hours a day and I don't see him until I wake up, and then he's sleeping. I see him for an hour or two a day if i'm lucky. It's hard for me mostly, Keenan..he loves Walley but is used to me. I've been trying to get them to hang out more together because I know it's important.

A lot of times I feel like i'm a single mom. I know I don't work but as many SAHM's would agree, it's just as hard or harder being a SAHM. Watching Nick Jr all day drives me nuts sometimes. I didn't realize it until I saw that once I turned to my channel when Keenan went to bed, I felt some relief seeing some hot guy on tv..haha. Hot as in..

I'm trying to look at the bigger picture so I can keep focus. I plan on going to school next year for my cosmetology license! Just gotta save up money to pay for little one's daycare.

Long Wearing Foundations

After I discovered that Revlon Colorstay was actually what was causing me to break out, I freaked and went on a foundation spree.

So far I have tried:

Dermablend Cover Cream (claims to be wearing for 12hrs - 16 with their powder but I find it starts to wear off my nose area around 6 hours into it)
Lancome Tient Idole Ultra - coverage was lame and staying power was not true
Estee Lauder Double Wear
Estee Lauder Maximum Coverage - coverage is phenomenal but lasting power isn't great
Maybelline Superstay 24hr - coverage is great BUT it gets shiny and oxidizes badly
Clinique Continous Coverage - cakey!!! stay away!!

The best one? Estee Lauder Double Wear comes closest because it is very true to the long wearing part. I'm guilty of wearing makeup to the gym, but honestly I just wear double wear because it doesn't ball up when I sweat. I wear that, a little blush, and mascara. I can work out and sweat hardcore and the makeup still stays in place. It almost actually looks better! haha

If you are looking for a summer foundation, this would be it. I don't understand wearing tinted moisturizers that will slide off your face in the heat anyways.

The coverage is medium but buildable. My recommendation would be to wear a layer of Double Wear, then conceal blemishes with a waterproof concealer.

Product Rave! Suave SPRAY adds Brilliance Vibrant Shine

You can see all the mineral glitters! I shook it to "activate" the glitters. They are very very fine so that you can't see it when it's on your hair.

My point of raving about this is: -it's cheap ..about $2.50 or so -it doesn't weight down your hair -makes your hair look healthy esp. after curling -does add a nice shine to your dull hair (if you do have it)

My hair curled with the product on. After curling, I spray this on and run my fingers through my curls. After i'm satisfied with the look I set it with hair spray.

See the nice shine? My hair color is fading so it's starting to look dull, this product definitely helps me not want to color it right away again.

China Glaze Crackle in Broken Hearted over Sally Hansen silver city.

A good tip: let your first polish dry completely, then apply a VERY thin layer to get the full crackle effect. as you can see..my pinky had a bit more of a thicker layer so it doesn't look as crackled.

On the left is Tokyo and the right Milan.

Tokyo is a light baby pink and Milan appears hot pink on my lips..for some reason. It'll probably appear a bit lighter on nude lips.

These are a delight. They will accentuate chapped lips, so exfoliate before applying this and possibly lip balm too. The colors are so opaque, they are beautiful. I don't feel drying at all!! The best part about these is that they are $6 at Ulta right now. They do have good staying power once they are set, I don't know how long but i'm sure i'll have to reapply eventually.

NYX puts high end cosmetics to shame sometimes. sigh

..you know, the one where you check yourself one last time inside your home..then one in the car?

i think it's almost crucial to do so if you are wearing a lot of makeup. for example, one time when i did the double check in the car mirror, i found little black specks of eyeshadow on my cheeks!!! it was not good :/

the other day we were at tijuana flats and the server had orange streaks on her face. poor girl, i told my husband that if i were one of her good friends, i woulda told her a long time ago that her makeup or self tanner has gone wrong. i'm not trying to be mean, but it was VERY obvious..other than that she was sweet though.

NEW Andrea Modlash Eyelash Glue Adhesive!!!

In search for the new 8 pan Wet n Wild Color Icon palettes (which I sadly couldn't find), I found this..

It's a clear eyelash glue that promises no messy spills or mistakes, and is fast drying.

..well this is the best eyelash glue I have ever tried!!! It lives up to it's claims and dries extremely clear. I don't have to worry about waiting for the glue to dry and it clings on strong. It has a brush tip so you just brush on a thin layer of glue to the eyelash and then put it on your lids, press lightly for a few seconds and boom! You're done.

I wear falsies very often because I feel as if my eyes look tired without them and I haven't had success with eyelid glue.. So usually the falsies add an additonal 5 minutes or more to my daily routine. I don't have to hesitate anymore about waiting for the glue to dry. While this isn't waterproof, I can tell it clings on strong.

You can use this for both individual and strip lashes. A must have for falsie lovers!!

It's Been Alright Today..

This is probably the most recent picture of me dolled up. January has been crazy but not so bad either. Keenan is almost 19 months and is learning everyday. The other night he leaned in to kiss me on the lips and I was shocked but filled with joy. ..then he leaned over and kissed Walley. HAHA

I am still into makeup but I find myself being more concerned with my skin now. The best thing that has happened to my skin has been Retin A because it prevents acne and wrinkles for me. It's the only thing that works for my skin and also, it takes my redness away.

I bought Careprost from alldaychemist and I will update you all on how it goes. Careprost is the generic version of latisse, so we will see how it works for my pathetic eyelashes. I'm also trying it on my brows so they can grow more where it's sparse.

Looking back at 2010 and hopes for 2011

Hi everyone! I know the last time I posted was a while back. This year has been crazy.

I pretty much stopped blogging when we moved to Texas. When you have a baby that always wants to be on the computer when you are, it makes it hard but it's taught me to not devote so much of my time on the computer. Which a lot of good has come out of it, plus he's only a baby for such a little time.

Anyways, we moved to Texas in January and San angelo was almost like hell on earth. It is not pretty there at all and I can't imagine it ever being unless the whole town gave time into watering the grass there more often. It was dry and ..well DRY. You could get lost in the town and find your way back home because it was that small. The only good thing from there was the food probably. Nakamura sushi had to be one of the best sushi places we've eaten at. We still haven't found a bomb ass place here yet.

After the husband graduated from tech school we finally moved here to Virginia. I can say this much that I don't mind it here at all. Traffic can be bad sometimes but all of my essential stores that I need are here and it's pretty here. The beach here sucks though, we're used to white sand and emerald water. It's brown rough sand here with deep blue water..the usual. But i'm a much happier person here, not to mention I finally got my own car!

An ideal car I always had in mind was the subaru legacy but then after I had Keenan, my mind changed and I definitely wanted a mini suv. The Honda CRV is the perfect car for Keenan and I. It's AWD so I don't have to freak out so much in the snow here.

SNOW. Geez, we're Florida people. We have no snow gear. The most we had were windbreakers or light jackets. We definitely had to go shopping for winter clothes this year. I bought the lil man snow boots and a whole snow suit along with it. I felt so bad when he tipped over in the snow and his hands were freezing. It's nice to see the snow and I love the cold, but I think i'm ready for the spring already.

2010, my marriage has grown much. At one point I wanted to give up completely because I thought things were never going to get anywhere. But, i've found a way to communicate with him and it's helped tremendously. I can't say how thankful I am that things are getting better. He hasn't played video games that much and he's given Keenan the attention he needs from his daddy. Because of this, I have good hopes for 2011.

2011 will be filled with a positive outlook because we know we will be here for a while and not have to move within a year or so. Keenan's getting better with not wanting me to hold him all the time and I have a better schedule with him. Because of the beautiful greenery here, my spirit feels better to exercise and be healthy. I didn't know that landscape could affect how you feel but it does. There's just much more to do here.

I don't really have any resolutions but to be able to fit into my skinny shorts and take a vacation this year. Everyday is a blessing already.

Hot Chocolate - white, chocolate, french vanilla

With the cold weather finally kicking into Florida, I find myself reaching for tea bags and hot cocoa pouches. I just love the cold here in Florida, because it doesn't last long.

When I used to live in Minnesota, i'd order White Hot Chocolate from Carribou Coffee and it was one of the best things I had ever tasted. Sweet vanilla white chocolate that was not too heavy. OOh yeah.

So to make up for it, I found a recipe that is close enough to it.

White Hot Chocolate (serving for 1)

1/2 cup or 27 pieces of white chocolate chips

1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream

1 cup of skim milk (or your choice)

whipped cream (optional)

In a pot, pour in the heavy whipping cream and stir in the white chocolate chips. Keep stirring until the white chocolate chips are melted. Pour in the milk and keep stirring until hot and smooth. Pour into your favorite cup and top it off with some whipped cream and cinnamon (if desired).

My next pick for hot cocoa that I recently just tried would be Nestle's Chocolate Caramel. It isso GOOD. That's all I can say. In my honest opinion I can say this really doesn't have that "fake" chocolate flavor. It's rich and a little creamy. It's worth trying for 110 calories only!

I'm not a fan of Swiss Miss but their French Vanilla version is good. This too is 110 calories of goodness.

Glamorous Sequin Holiday Nails!

This picture does no justice as to how pretty/sparkly/glittery/glamorous-feeling my nails are! Have you ever walked by a clothing store an a saw a manequin wearing a shiny sequin top with all the lights reflecting on it? That would be my analogy as to describing this.

It would look even better with white tips but with the lil man around I hardly have time to do anything nowadays. But I wanted to do something pretty with my nails since we are having Thanksgiving lunch tomorrow with some friends.

The products used: Beauty Secrets base coat-I smoothed and polished my nails before applying this. I never knew about base or top coats for polishes. I just knew that you should have a clear polish to top it off with lol. ballalala..but yeah this base coat is nice so far. Inexpensive and it moisturizes my nails and supports the nails polish to adhese.

Ulta Professional in Happily Ever After - I receive this in my yummy mummy package that Maryanne sent me. It is still my favorite nail polish. It gives me a quick clean :) It has a light transparent pink in it with finely milled silver glitters in it. The first coat is not too glittery, it is just the right touch.

Sally Girl (this is a new one that has chunky glitter!) - I used two coats of this to create that sequin glammy top. I can just stare at my nails all day lol. They also have the glitters availabe in pink and gold.

China Glaze Fast Foward Top Coat -still my favorite top coat. It is super fast drying and smoothes out your polish fast!

My look for the day. Didn't last too long because I was worn out! After we got home from Seoul Garden I was pooped :( but I forced myself to go grocery shopping because I like staying home with the hubs on Sundays. Also at the commissary, it was CROWDED. (good thing i was in sweats and a hoody) like Whoa! I know that there are going to be tons of Thanksgiving dinners. I've decided that i'm going to make a pie, eggrolls (lol), green bean casserole, and we're bringing dinner rolls along to the hub's friends place.

..notice something? my hair is dark brown! it looks almost black but it's not. i miss my highlights but i colored it back since my hair is falling out due to giving birth and my roots were showing big time. ..and yes i have been feeling a bit better about the bod. i want to be able to feel good in a swimsuit in the summer time. ..and yes i love this pose. i did this pose for my senior picture also lol.

..i've been wearing my hair in pigtails. =) the makeup is simple and i haven't really bought anything in forever. i'm thinking i might not even want the tarte chest for christmas. ..but as usual, we'll see. i'm learning to appreciate the things i have already.

..the little man's back teeth are coming out and he's been super cranky. i took this picture when they both were napping together. keenan didn't and still doesn't want us to put him down. it's getting pretty tiring but we're surviving..again..he's going to be my only baby! LOL

I put up the Christmas tree the other day. i usually do when it gets close to Thanksgiving. it warms my heart up.

the weight loss is going really good. i think my body is going back to it's normal self and before i know it, i will have made my goals as to getting my normal weight before the end of the year. it feels great and i dont have to worry about my image as much anymore. ..yes i do care about the way i look because it's not only about looks, it's about health and who you are.

i get pretty annoyed when people think this or that of makeup. really, if you don't know how to use it, you will look cheap. there is nothing wrong with enhancing your beauty that you have already. whenever i go out at all (which doesn't happen everyday fyi) i do wear makeup, but not clubbing makeup or anything, and i love just dressing cute or wearing something nice. i KNOW i get stares, but i'll say i get dirty stares from girls or women. really, when i do get those stares, i just think to myself, you can look good too if you try a little. geez. for example, this one lady probably in her mid 30's, she's got bags underneath her eyes and just gives me that dirty look. (you gals probably know what i'm talking about) it really bothers me. ..like throw on some concealer,blush or eyeliner or something! i don't wake up looking good... lol..i really don't but that's why i take care of myself.

then i will get the usual girls who are really sweet enough to say they love my purse or something i'm wearing, and ask where i got it from and how did i do this or that. at least they're being honest and they learn, as i would do the same if i saw something i liked on someone else. i just felt like ranting about that because i've been getting that a lot lately. it's winter here and i don't dress like a hooch either. heck, my husband wouldn't let me outta the house if i were dressed like one.

anyways, for thanksgiving this year i think the lil fam is heading over to one of my husband's friends place to eat some deep fried turkey! hahaha i told him that i'll bring some egg rolls along, ..do it asian style!

I haven't really been buying any makeup, probably because i've got what I want/need. But this ...would be PERFECT. I said that about the Urban Decay book of shadows, put it away for half a year, then found it and started using it again. This features matte and shimmer shadows, plus their best selling bronzer! I want i want i want!

Black friday- i am so bad but i want a new pair of boots. well i want more than one pair :P but i told the hubs that mainly what i need are tees and stuff to wear while i'm at home since i am home all the time and we don't go out much. i used to walk around wearing..nothing. haha because we live on our own, but since keenan's around i always have clothes on. my husband believes that keenan will remember this for the rest of his life. but yeah, more tees because i have way...too many tanks and sleeveless tops. i probably only have 2 t-shirts in the closet right now.

it'll soon be our 4 yr. anniversary..on black friday. lol

Here is a brown spot on my wrist that I am testing the product on to show you the coverage.

One small dot of the concealer. The color is the lightest shade in Ivory.

..and that is it blended and dried! Full coverage!!

I gave this 4 out of 5 stars because it dries really fast. You have to do one eye at a time. The best thing to do is to make sure you wear a primer underneath your eyes or moisturize. I use my fingers to pat it out and blend.

This is great for undereye circles. Most concealers that I try usually fade but this one stays put. I bought it for $6.48 at Wal-Mart so it's a steal. I haven't had any breakouts or weird reactions to this concealer and I am loving it.

I did buy a really light shade for my skintone..lol. But for some reason it works for me since I am just using it for my dark circles. I have really, I mean really bad circles from not taking care of my skin when I was in high school. I never wore sunscreen so I think that made it worse :P But I apply this on after my primer, let it sit then apply my foundation over it. It really brightens under my eyes and I love it.

Some might find this too drying..which is why I said to make sure you moisturize or wear primer underneath it. It is a great price and a steal in my case. I have an Estee Lauder one and I like this one much better. As far as blemishes go, this might work for them too. I haven't tried since I only use this for my dark circles.

So today the lil fam went out to eat at Lotus Thai which is our favorite Thai restaurant here. They've got a buffet and is awesome! I mean they've got papaya, egg rolls, seasoned chicken wings, pad thai, fried rice, and a ton of other stir frys, plus they've always got some sorta sweet coconut dessert thing there that switches on and off. It's not big but they flavors they have are awesome.

Anyways I am standing in line and I see that they are bringing out more egg rolls and chicken wings, since they were running out. ..and then all of a sudden, these damn chinese ladies (i don't mean to offend anyone) that are most likely over 30 and their grandma budge in front of me. Not only that, I know it's a buffet but they grab 3 of each of everything. I was pretty irritated because I was standing there patiently waiting for them to finish and they didn't even acknowledge or say sorry that they pretty much shoved me out of the way. I am just complaining and I told my husband that I couldn't believe the granny budged me too! They were also being rude to the staff members there and asking what was in each dish and if there was fish sauce in the food, and the staff lady says, "we have fish sauce in all of our food that we cook!" lol ..come on it's a staple in asian cuisine.

but ya, i just wanted to write about it because thinking about it still irritates me.

Halloween at the Mall and Thanks

..my chunker..Keenan wasn't anything..we put him in his fleece jumpsuit that makes him look like a teddy bear. (btw i am obsessed with hoodies that have bear ears on them!) It finally got chilly so it was perfect for Keenan to wear it.

..yes he loves mommy, can you tell? lol My husband has never been trick or treating inside malls on Halloween and he thought it was going to be dumb at first but he actually thought it was cool. We saw a ton of batman's and power rangers!

This picture was taken today, we bought him a hat and I was excited to put it on him since it was chilly out.

You really cannot understand how much better I felt after reading all of the posts. Sometimes I feel as if I am the only one who's ever felt that way. ..but it just goes to show you that..most men are the same. ..and us girls deserve an award for putting up with it!

The current situation right now is, he is making up for it since I told him that it's just been so crazy with his school and wanting to spend time with him. Now that he's done, things are getting better and I hope it stays this way. The flirting/being too friendly, yes yes insecurity does get the best of us. I have my days when I can look pretty outside but feel like a piece of poo inside. //but yeah, lets just hope it gets better. i am not looking forward to call of duty 5 to come out. if only the wives can buy all of them off the shelf before the husbands get to it :P

..because sometimes when i think about it, i think they both are almost the same esp. when it's towards the opposite sex.

one thing i hate about being married to a military man is that they can't always tell you everything that they do. okay, i've accepted that. but one of the things that bug me most is when they dont come home when they say they will. of course that is the usual for military lives but UGH!

i just want to rant off my feelings that i have just brushed off for the past month.

i think i just don't know my husband as well as i think i do or i've just forgotten how he is since we don't have many conversations anymore. it's so sad i feel like i want to resort to other things to fill in that space.

when i come to think of it, we really don't have much in common but that has always been us. BUT idk. if we can't find common ground i don't know what to do. i feel like everytime i have something to say to him, he NEVER listens and it gets on my damn nerves. later on he will tell me the exact same thing i told him and say that he just found that out, and i will tell him that i told him that before. UGH!!

a lot of days now i just find myself wanting to go out more with friends or do something that will make me stop thinking of this. it is starting to scare me that we can't find common ground. i really do love him, its just..i am such an outgoing-always trying something new-love hanging out kinda person. ..not stay at home and watch my husband play xbox while i watch baby all day wife.

and i will admit that whenever i see him being friendly i guess i take it in differently. probably because i don't feel the same anymore. *sigh* i dont know why i feel like i can't trust him. is it a different part of my life that i am going through again?

Zesty Tortilla Wrap - A healthy low calorie meal!

I have found a new love for..whole wheat tortillas! This wrap is super easy to make and it tastes great!

Ingredients used: La Tortilla Factory whole wheat tortillas (only 80 calories per wrap!)

-Hellman's Light mayo

-Sams Club canned chicken breast

-Spinach

-Tomatoes

-Taco Seasoning
-Cilantro

-First you will want to put half a tablespoon of mayo in a small bowl and mix about a teaspoon of taco seasoning into the mayo and stir it well. This gives it that zesty flavor instead of having to use ranch or other dressings, and it sticks.

-Take one of the wraps and place it on a plate, then spread the mayo. Afterwards add the chicken breasts on there (i open a can and use my hands to break the chicken into shredded pieces).

-Add tomatoes, spinach, and cilantro afterwards and wrap it! The cilantro gives it a mexican-dish flavor that pairs up with the taco seasoned mayo.

If you want to make it a meal, pair it up with Lay's light chips that are only 70 calories for each serving. The average chips are 150 + calories per serving. Then drink some crystal light with your meal. (..yes i am a calorie counter)

Usually one makes me full but feel free to have 2 if you'd like. ..and I usually eat this for lunch. It is about 300 calories depending on how many chips I munch on. Crystal light packets have been a staple in my diet since forever. They are low calorie and besides that, I can't even stand drinking soda. It burns my throat so i'm really sensitive to it and I don't like the feeling it leaves on my teeth afterwards.

Tijuana Flats and Camera Talk

Grubbing at Tijuana Flats. This was our first time there so we didn't know what to order. Well I did..only because I checked out their nutritional info and their steak burrito was under 400 calories so I decided to get it. It didn't look as appealing as my husbands dish! Keenan was excited to see all the food lol.

Flautas! These were so good and crispy. My husband asked one of the workers how to eat these! LOL i was like what the.. She said to dip it in the queso and then into the veggies. Why do the good things in life have to be fattening? :P

CAMERA TALK!

I have been getting a lot of questions about my camera and camera suggestions.

First off let me say that I went to college for half a year for photography. Although it wasn't long, it taught me much about exposures and shutter stops. I've worked with shooting studio pictures and outdoor events. ..and if you know me, i hate shooting weddings! Only because they are long and it is very demanding.

My first SLR (single lens reflect) camera that I ever owned was a Nikon. It wasn't digital but it was a good practice. I learned how to develop photos in black rooms and the whole ordeal. Then I got married after I left and my husband bought me my first digital SLR which was the Nikon D40. I must say this and it is important, that if you want a digital SLR and have never worked with them, get this or a Canon Rebel low grade. The ones that cost under $600. They are definitely worth it in my opinion because they have an Auto function that allows you to point and shoot.

My second one after the D40 was a Nikon D300. It ranges anywhere from $1000 -$1300 for the body alone. This camera is semi-professional. It's not up there with the top notches but it definitely has a ton of awesome functions. It was really heavy which I hated but it took awesome pictures. This camera does not have an auto function and you have to manually do everything.

And now I have my Canon Xt1. It is awesome because it has an auto function and HD recording. I can record videos of Keenan and take some sweet pictures. The price range is not bad either, $800-$900 for a camcorder and camera in one.

Digital Cameras-------

I have owned a number of them in my life. If you can find one that has a macro option, that is good for taking up close pictures. The zoom on digital cameras are important for that also. My favorite brand of digital cameras is Canon. Canons and Nikons are constantly competing. Nikons have gotten better, but what I can mostly say about the digital cameras is that the face detection is an important option. If you are looking to print pictures constantly, you want more megapixels.

Boba on A Saturday Adventure

I had real boba's in my boba tea today and I couldn't stop popping them in my mouth! I've always just had tapioca pearls in my drinks but I never knew these existed..lol. We went to the mall today and saw the new shop there so we checked it out. I got the yogurt boba's in coconut drink. The boba's tasted like lychee even though it said yogurt..but i love lychee so i don't have a problem with that.

I promised Keenan that I'd take him to the mall to walk around since he loves being in his carrier/wrap.

He loved just staring at the lights on the carousel.

There were lights at the arcade so of course we went there and Keenan just kept staring. He loves lights..i can't wait for him to see the Christmas tree!

Perdido Keys Wedding pictures

These are a few pictures that I took from the wedding I went to in Perdido Keys here in Florida with my friend Summer who was their photographer. She rescued me from going insane and took me out for some awesome mexican food and strawberry margaritas!

The cake was my favorite thing about the wedding. The peachy color of the flowers were so splendid.

I love lanterns and they had a few hanging up in their tent.

I was being nosy and we found the garter before the bride put them on and took pictures of them.

Again..taking pictures of details, I thought this dragonfly was fake and a part of the design but I saw it twitch a little and told Summer to take a look at it! It was huge! scary too haha.

They rented a nice beach house and the wedding was in the backyard of it. Too bad it was so cold.

NYX Pink Sparkle Lipgloss & Rant

I found this sitting in the guest bathroom drawer the other day. I totally forgot I had it and threw it on the lips immediately.

That's me wearing it. This is the usual look I wear everyday, even though I stay at home with Keenan all day, I still get some makeup on my face because it makes me more productive thoughout the day and not lazy. I wear mineral makeup when i'm home because i'm not out in the humid sweating it out. Still lovin' the new camera.

My lil man and me. I really really really love him. As much as a buttmunch he can be, I fall in love all over again with him by the littlest things he does. He still knocks out when I put him to sleep on my chest. He drools so much it's nasty! But when he sees me and smiles, my frown turns upside down. I am glad he knows who his mama is!

--Lately i've just been sick of things! My husband goes to school early in the morning and comes home late at night, sleeps on the couch, and barely spends time with Keenan. He will be graduating his ALS school this Thursday and I can't wait. I am just sick of feeling like i'm doing this on my own and honestly I feel like there's no point of him coming home at all if he's not going to be around us. It's probably my anger speaking right now but I am just sick of it!

Chicken Noodle Soup for ..the stressed!

My ideal comfort food is usually a nice hot soup, not straight out from the can. Once in a while I will turn to sweets, but most of the time I will want soup to comfort me on my days that i've just had enough bullshit.

Ingredients for the lovin':

-your choice of chicken parts, as long as it's got some meat on it! i used chicken thighs because that's all we had, and the meat is super soft.

-1 can of chicken broth

-1/2 onion diced

-carrots (i used matchstick carrots b/c that's all we had lol and i didn't want chunks of it in the soup either)

-salt

-mushroom seasoning or MSG SUBSITUTE

-cilantro (optional)

-egg noodles

Directions: Heat up the pot of your choice to a medium temp. and put a dab of oil in it, then put the diced onions in it. You want to sweat your onions, not fry them. By doing this you are releasing the flavor of the onions. Throw in the carrots and let them get a coating of the oil too. Then after they look like they've been sweated enough, throw the chicken in and let that cook just a bit. When that is done, pour in the can of chicken broth and let it boil for a bit to get all the flavors concentrated. Afterwards fill up the pot with water and let it boil. Once it starts boiling, add a generous amount of salt and mushroom seasoning. I let mine boil for a good 30 minutes. Keep tasting it to see how much salt/seasoning you want in it. You should have a nice chicken broth flavor.

Cook the egg noodles in a seperate pot and strain them when they are done. Put them in a bowl and pour the broth over and serve!

The soup is refreshing and it doesn't have a nasty syrup taste like most soups do in a can :P It's also more healthy because you get to see what you are adding into it. I put cilantro in mine because it gives it a different kick.

I've always believed that you can't love anyone until you can really learn to love yourself. The qualities about me that I love are:

1. I am nice. I approach things in a peaceful way and avoid drama. I do not like to be loud or rude, and I most of the time keep my mouth shut even if I have dirty things to say.

2. I can be friends with just about anyone.

3. I love that when I love someone, I will do almost anything for them..aka the hubs.

4. I always make sure to keep in mind my main goal/target.

5. I respect everyone even if I do not like them.

My Imperfections that I have learned to accept:

acne scars (until there is a cream that actually works!), uneven skin tone, huge craters in my pores (well one here and there), my small upper lip that will never be plump, my eyelids that can't decide whether they want to be monolids or double lids, all the beauty marks on my face ( i have probably over 6 of them), my saggy boobs (it happens from breastfeeding!), my thick thighs that i can never seem to be rid of, the stretch marks on my belly from having keenan, and discolorations on certain areas of my body.

I've learned to live with them and there are things that can cover them up, or fix it for a bit, but most of the time they will always be there. The best part about it is that when my husband saw all of it, he still thought I was beautiful. Without the crazy makeup or hair, the best friend and wife he saw in me shined through it all. He's made me learn how to feel beautiful without any of it.

Seoul Garden serves some of the best Korean Food!

We love this place because of their service and great tasting food! We've been to a number of Korean restaurants and this one by far serves the best bulgogi.

I usually love eating their BiBimBap but I decided to try this. I think it was called Sup Kup Chae, can't remember but it was a spicy soup with seafood and tofu. It was pretty good.

and my favorites..banchan! I usually just love going here because of the side dishes. I can eat them alone with rice. My favorite one if usually the kimchee cucumbers.

Birthday Gift from the hubs and pictures!!!

He bought me a Canon Rebel T1i. I believe it was recently launched and...it records videos! ..in HD! sweet huh? It's a 2-in-1 especially since we've got baby keenan, this is going to come in handy. The videos are so awesome though, I personally think I enjoy it more than taking pictures haha. I love everything about it and my husband was sweet for doing this. He really didn't have to.

Taken with the canon..the clarity! Well as most DSLR's will do, but it's a major difference from my ..kodak lol. Can you see the flawlessness of Maybelline's super stay 24hr foundation? i love it!

Hard Candy at Wal-Mart! Prices range from $5-$9. They've got a ton of stuff there that I have yet to try. I called and asked when they would have it and the stupid guy told me in the middle of the month, but I went there yesterday and to my surprise, it was there already! I was like OMG! I stood there forever trying to think of what I want. So I came up with these 4 so far. They have so much stuff, and FYI this replaced Max Factors spot.

Eyeshadow Duo $6

The eyeshadow was really pretty BUT it broke on me. Talk about you get what you pay for. The packaging for everything is soo cute, but I was mad that this broke into pieces after taking this picture. They've got other sets of eyeshadows too.

The pigmentation is great, I can probably say its the same consistency as Mac's mineralize quad I got.

Blush $7

This is a pink pink with a silver undertone. Talk about glow! Very pigmented, you don't need much to get color on your skin.

Yummmm :P They've got 3 other colors that I want to get.

Their tinted lip balm $5.

I love! It is sheer but I might just have to say a little bit more than that. It goes on buttery smooth and gives my lips a bit of a nude pink look. There is no smell or taste. I bought this one in "Jenny".

Their mascara was $6 I think. This one, I do not like. The brush looked wonderful but it barely did anything to my lashes. Sorta reminded me of what great lash does to my lashes..nothing! hahaha

Overall, these products are definitely worth a try. i know a number of people who refuse to shop at wal-mart but i don't care. i definitely save more money shopping there. i never attempted to buy any Jemma Kidd or Pixi products from target..and I really don't know how well they're doing either. they're products are more expensive than Mac. I just wanted to get that off my mind.

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipsticks + Others!!!

I dropped by Walgreen's yesterday and picked up a few items besides the gripe water I had to get for my lil munchkin's hiccups. babies..expensive! haha

These are the two I picked up. They are BOGO this week if you haven't picked any up yet! Their foundations are too! If you've bought these already, do you notice a playdough smell to it? I do, a little annoying but the pigmentation is wonderful and also staying power.

So as you can see, he loves to stick his tongue out. Why is he wearing a bib? Because the little rat is teething already and he's not even 3 months! He chews on his hands whenever he gets a chance to, drools like crazy so he has to wear bibs so he won't get a rash on his chest, and has been picky with bottles. The great thing for now at least is that he's been sleeping through the night. (thank you Jesus! mommy is finally feeling better!)

As for the weight loss, it's coming along. I feel better each day. My doctor had me take the huge ibuprofen pills and it made me gain back 7-8 pounds. I was pretty pissed when I found out that those pills made me retain water. It took a while for me to get it off too but things are back to normal. The Paragard i had inserted gave me cramps that felt worse than my contractions, at a few points i couldn't walk. BUT they faded away so things aren't so bad, and it's a great form of birth control since I don't have to take any hormonal pills.

Oh yeah, I won Denysia's giveawayyyy!!! I was so excited this morning when I found out. I've never won anything but I can't wait. She's got so many cute things in there.

C&C Makeup Dissolving Cleanser!!! + Pictures

At first I really didn't think this was going to work because it was only $5 at Target and I even got a free sample of their makeup remover. I have to wear non-melting foundations because of the weather here in Florida and because of my oily skin. I was running out of my Philosophy Purity cleanser so I decided to just grab this on a whim since it was again..only $5. Later on at home after a few more hours I tied my hair back and wet my face, gave 3 pumps of this foam into my hands and massaged my face. I looked up and was amazed that my foundation was not on my face anymore! Usually with most cleansers I can clearly still see blotches of my makeup on there. If you use revlon colorstay you know what a bitch it is to get off so you'll love this.

I never do a once step clean though...only because I have to make sure everything is off my face. I use makeup wipes to get off my eyeshadow and witch hazel to tone my skin. No breakouts so far. Doing good and i'm so glad I bought this. Most clean and clear products break me out and do not work on my skin. But this is simply a makeup remover and it does a wonderful job!

and lastly..pictures of my baby. He's only 2 1/2 months but he looks big.

I still can't believe I carried him in my stomach for 41 weeks. He was a hard headed baby lol.

I got this in black shock. It also comes in gold, silver, purple, and teal I believe.

Pencil formula to last longer! (I've been starting to hate retractables lately!)

Close up swatches. The left swatch is applied as if you would do your liner and the right is LIGHTLY i mean LIGHT swatched. This is a must have because it has zero tugging. It seriously glides on and has great pigmentation!! Once it finishes drying, it is set. No smudging or anything.

The chrome liners has a bit of sparkle in them, but they're not glittery. It is a metallic effect and i'm so going to buy the rest of the colors. It's a bit pricey for a drugstore liner ($8-$9) depending on where you buy these. But they are definitely worth it. I am in love with how smooth is glides, staying power, and pigmentation. I use this on my lower lashline and it stays on all day and does not fade. Most liners fade on my lower lashline whenever I come back from shopping. Check them out if you get a chance to!

Curled Hair and Sally Girl Nail Polish

I didn't wear the earrings out, I just wanted to take a picture with them on :P

I curled this with my PHI straightening iron my friend Amy sent me. You can do this with most straighteners, just let it get hot, and the best thing to do when wanting to keep your curls in is to hairspray your hair first!

Please excuse the horrible paint job. Really, i'm not one who likes to wait for nail polish to dry. I always have to be doing something and if it limits me from using my hands, I get even more impatient. BUT..

I LOVE THIS COLOR! It's like a mixture of baby pink and baby purple. It makes me feel really young and innocent. I applied it with 2 coats.

Sally Girl nail polishes rock! I have probably4 or 5 of them and they're only .99 cents each. They are very well pigmented and they never let me down. You probably won't even finish a small bottle unless you found your HG color. I'm going to try the other baby pink's in the line but so far i'm digging this color a lot. It looks great on my toenails!

Go get you some Sally Girl nail polishes! The eyeshadows are great too btw. :)

Wet n' Wild CRAZE Nail Polish!

These are definitely..a hit! For $1.99 at most places, these are a great deal and the packaging is super cute!

I bought Noctural (which i do not have a picture of because i removed my nail polish already) and it is a dark blue that almost looks a bit dark purple in different lights. It is soo pigmented! I am not kidding, I only used one coat and it was enough (for me at least). I was amazed at the consistency of it and it doesn't take forever to dry.

They don't have a lot of colors to choose from, but enough to make you want to choose at least one of them. I don't have much time to paint my nails anymore, but i'd probably buy another one of these if I wanted to paint my nails again, straying away from hot pinks like I usually choose.

Again, definitely check these out when you can. I know WnW has other new products out too but I really should stop with the makeup as I have enough but who can resist once you've become a makeup junkie?

My experience? I saw this on commercial and was like OMG, I need to try it! I love revlon colorstay but I really wanted to try something else out. My Mac Fluid is just "alright" in my opinion. It could be better. But this..? Well at first I had to pound the crap out of the bottle into my palm to get the product out. It's a bit more creamy than liquid I must say. After applying my monistat as a primer, I used my Ulta Professional highlighting brush to apply this on my face. It doesn't take a lot of this product to give you a nice coverage either! Oh yeah and this dries to an almost powdery finish. Walgreen's has vial testers to try it out.

Okay but after I washed my face with philosphy's purity cleanser, I still had to remove this makeup with my makeup wipes from wal-mart. This stuff really sticks! (i live in sunny florida where it's humid everyday!) Be sure to remove this off your skin completely or else you'll break out most likely.

Here is me and Keenan, I made my own baby wrap. I didn't feel like chucking out $60-$100 for some fabric. (this wrap is a Godsend! he loves this and hates his SnugRider!) and EVERY time we go to the commissary on base, Keenan will start to cry. He hates being inside his carseat for so long. I carried him around with this thing at the commissary and the mall today and he was asleep the whole time. I'd recommend this to any mom to be! Anyways, keeping up with hair costs a good amount of money, esp. for girls who color their hair or always change it up.

I bought this to highlight my hair. I only highlighted the top half of my head, it comes with a cap with the holes and I pulled hair through every one of those small holes. I had my husband help me out too and it took about an hour. The results came out pretty good, I like the color and maybe next month i'll try an auburn color.

..now I bought this at Sally's. It's a razor for hair and it cost me about $5. Everytime I go to the salon, all they ever do is razor my hair and snip here and there. I figured I can do it myself since it doesn't look too hard! This razor is perfect for choppy cuts or if you want to just snip off dead ends. You have to use this when your hair is wet or else it won't slice as good and probably tug your hair. It's also perfect for bangs! I was pretty proud of myself for doing my own hair! :)

Lo Mein and Health plan

My lo mein or what some other states call chow mein. I've lived north, south, west, and east of the united states and I know that the west side calls this chow mein. But everywhere else calls this lo mein, whatever it is, i'm always sure to tell them that i want the stuff with the noodles! lol

Ingredients: omega angel pasta by barilla (healthy stuff but still tastes great!)

zuchinni, carrots, green onions, cabbage

chicken & garlic

soy sauce, hoisin, oyster, salt

olive oil

I cook my chicken first and let it brown with the garlic. Then I set it aside in a seperate bowl. I love to put a lot of cabbage and vegetables in my lo mein, it gives it a better texture! I usually use half a cabbage head. I put a little bit of olive oil and heat it up, then throw in the cabbage, get that going, then throw in the rest of the veggies. I don't let them cook too long because the it'll be all soggy and the nice textures will go away. After they look like they are starting to compress a bit, I throw in the chicken, and then the noodles. Afterwards the soy sauce, hoisin, oyster, and salt go in. I try not to add too much oil and salt to the foods I cook because it's bad for your body and heart! You can still make great tasting food without using a load of oil and fattening ingredients.

My weight loss is coming around! I'm losing about 1-2 pounds a week, could be more but I stay at home and watch the little man and I usually have to wait for the hubs to be around if I want to workout.

The first thing in the morning I get up and wash all of keenan's bottles. Seriously, I might have a problem there, but I just can't let them sit around. It will bug the shit out of me! Okay but after that I eat a bowl of Fiber one cereal. I seriously love it, it tastes fine (could be better) but it definitely helps me "go" and helps that metabolism. It's important to eat breakfast every single morning of your life. Even if you're on the go, grab an apple or a slice of toast, anything to fill you up that way you do not eat a whole pig when lunch comes around. (just don't eat a fattening breakfast!)

For lunch I usually eat a baked potato with a chicken breast (baked also). Chicken breast is packed with protein and is very lean and low calorie. It doesn't get tiring for me to eat it because I know it's benefiting my body and I season it well! I use the grill mates by mcgrill or whatever that brand is called with the black bottle caps.

In another 2 hours I will have an apple or something light to snack on. My snacks very from apples, honey wheat pretzel sticks, fiber one granola bar, anything under 150 calories is usually what I try to stick to.

For dinner, i'll eat soup or something along that with a light sandwich. I avoid eating big meals at night because we all know it'll turn into fat.

I hope i'm not being bias when i say that asian people love rice because I am asian myself and I do love rice! But i've learned to give it up because it turns into sugar, then into fat. A small portion would be fine, but I tell my family they should eat large amounts of it. I eat uncle bens or parboiled rice once in a while and it has helped me lose weight.

Anything low calorie and healthy will do though. I portion out my meals and yes I have a food scale at home. I did this weight loss plan last year and lost 30lbs. No diet pills or anything "quick". Afterwards my body got used to the diet and it stayed that way.

question: how many of you take vitamins and if so, what kind? right now i'm taking omega 3, grape seed extract, cinammon, and green tea. sounds like a lot but they all benefit me in a good way long term. i take them once a day though, not with every meal.

thanks for the feedback with my rant. i know it's a big change and i'm just adjusting to everything. it's just good to know that i'm not the only one who feels this way. i do love my husband to death, i just don't like feeling irritable towards him. he has been helping me a lot lately. it's probably because i feel alone and i don't have any friends down here that i can hang out with either. but things will get better and he tells me that too.

ranting: for mamas, did you feel as if your relationship changed with your husband after baby came out? i certainly am starting to..i miss us i really do, but i can't help but to feel so annoyed almost everything he does..well maybe mostly when he plays his xbox. but then there's times when he doesn't know where "anything" is and it's pretty much been in the same place for as long as i can remember. i love him and appreciate all the help he does, but i can't help to feel so annoyed! i don't like or want to tell him what to do around the house, but sometimes i have to. UGH. oh yeah and most of the time i feel like i can try to start a conversation and it goes NOWHERE. maybe just to the wall and back.

i went to the ob clinic today and we talked about getting the paraguard. in 2 weeks i'll have it inserted and the funny thing is, as we were walking out of the office, doc pats me on the back and says, "be sure to use condoms in the meantime" and i say to him, "puah don't worry, NOTHING is going to happen in the meantime." LOL i'm traumatized from getting pregnant and the c-section, the last thing i want to do is have sex.

but this lil man makes me happy even though he is a handful. this morning he was up at 7am just talking to himself and looking around. i knocked out and woke up again and he was still awake! he was a good boy and did not cry, i was amazed lol.

..since i've "dolled" up. i really don't do so much anymore for now because i still need to lose the weight so i'm not investing in any cute clothes for now, and plus keenan pulls on my extensions. great. i got the headband from claires and i'm wearing "narcisuss" on my lips by NYX. my blush really isn't that dark, it's the contrast in the photo that makes it look dark.

The hubs let me do just a lil' shopping and i managed to pick up the mineralize skinfinish from CCO! woot woot..i got a pretty good deal on it too. I love model 21 lashes, just got some in. ..will show pictures of me wearing them later. take care ladies!

L'oreal EverPure Review and Rant

L'oreal Sulfate-Free Volumizing shampoo and Moisture Conditioner

I must say..i'm in love! Well with the conditioner for the most part. I'm just going to do a quick review on this because I don't feel like explaining too much. The shampoo cleans pretty well but you'll find that it doesn't bubble up too much (of course, it's sulfate-free). The conditoner..now this stuff is heaven. At first when applying this in the shower, I didn't feel the smoothness that most conditioners give me, until after I got out of the shower. My hair did not look dry at all, it looked healthy and hydrated. I am sooo not lying! No conditioner has done this for me. So I'll prob. stick with this conditioner from now on. I can't wait to try out the hair masque.

Both of them have some getting used to though, there's like a granny smell to them or I should really say medicinal.

my lil' munchkin is growing up so freaking fast. he only sleeps in this thing btw! crazy i know but he hates his crib, he will cry the moment i put him in it! so this swing is right next to our bed by me now. i put him on our bed in the early mornings though just to give him some flat back.

I feel as if some people think i'm so negative about never wanting another baby again. I had a horrible experience and I don't want to risk it again, plus it's not like we can afford having another oneas of now anyways. My body went through so much trauma I had the baby blues for a while there and was scared I would fall into postpartum depression. ..thank God I didn't though. The c-section, they pumped so much drugs into my body I was swollen for almost 2 weeks and even had kankles! nasty, I hated looking at my feet also. They were like monster feet. I felt them pulling everything out of me and stitching me back up, it was awful and I was in tears. My cervix (which I hate to death) has given me so many problems! I thought I felt a lump in my downstairs and I went to get checked today and they said it's just my cervix, still healing and it will take a while to move back up.

I just think people should experience it for themselves before they jump to thinking i'm so negative about never wanting another baby again. I love my little man so much, I just don't want another one. One is enough for me, and i've asked the hubs to make sure he'll be okay with me getting the Paraguard (IUD) and he says he's fine. He's pretty good at respecting my wishes and my body too.

I really thought i'd never have time to get back on blogger but I can make things work! Anyways, i'm wearing Violet in Colorvue 3 Tones lenses. They are not dramatic like my gray ones but they still make my eyes look a little bit bigger than normal. I also ordered aqua glamour ones so we have yet to see what they look like, I just have to buy some storage cases for the rest of my lenses since i'm building a collection here.

Went into Charlotte Russe the other day and decided it's time for some new shades. My husband is right when he says I have a bunch of them already, but that's only cause they get scratched up or I just get tired of them.

I love shades. I have to wear the ones with the nose thingies on them though, really because I don't like seeing my makeup on my shades. Oh yeah, I LOVE big shades.

Here's my lil' man snoozin on his swing. I thought this was so cute because he's sitting still like an adult haha. It's taking him forever to get used to his pacifier but I want him to like it because he does what I call agression feeding which is he only wants to suck on something when he's gassy and fussy. He's been really fussy lately and I don't know how i'm still alive. Thank goodness my dark circles have not gotten worse!

After I got back from the hospital, this was waiting in my mailbox! woot woot. When I did get the energy to take a shower, I knew I had to try this. The smell is delicious, I can't describe it but it doesn't smell like an actuall grapefruit. It's got a hint of flower smell in it too (i'm so bad at this) but what I can say is that after scrubbing my legs and arms with this, my skin felt buttery smooth after I got out of the shower. The scrub is not harsh, it's real sugar packed with shea butter and other oils that does your body good. :) as for the foaming, don't expect it to be like soap foam, it's got some foam but I didn't care much for it because I wanted to scrub myself down!

It is definitely worth a try if you are interested in trying out something new.

me and my little lazy booger. i'm wearing the cheeky bronze MSF and eccentricity eyeshadow quad in this picture. my revlon colorstay does have major flashback which makes my face look white in pictures, but i'm wearing early tan in the colorstay which is pretty dark, like my skin color (look at my arms). ..so it looks like i put on way too much of the cheeky bronze but i can promise you i didn't overdo it.

he's both mama and daddy's boy.

things have been pretty crazy around here but i have been reading everyone's blogs (usually in the mornings when i'm pumping..my breastmilk lol). ..let me tell you that breastfeeding is lots of work! but i'm doing partial breastmilk and partial formula. the little guy seems to be doing okay with both.

keenan, he doesn't cry much only when he's hungry or very gassy. he smiles in his sleep and well sleeps a lot still. haha.. my nights have been ...awful but i love taking care of him. my recovery from the c-section is coming along pretty well and from the 50lbs i've gained i've lost 20 of it already and i'm starting to workout again. ..taking it easy until the doctor a-ok's me. all the cravings have gone away and everything seems to be coming back.

i can say it almost feels as if i were never pregnant. possibly because he is out of me and my attention is focused on him. the husband has been doing a great job with helping me also. in october, hopefully i lost all the baby fat, i get a huge ass shopping spree! haha because he splurged on a ps3 and new xbox plus all these other accessories, it's only fair for me.

so much has been going on, i don't know where to begin. we might end up moving also because the hubs got accepted to retrain into another career field in the air force. we're excited but we don't know where this is taking us and we don't know how long it'll be before we settle down. ..all we know is that keenan is giving us better luck!

i saw the collection and had to get at least one of their eyeshadows. most of their collections i'm just like eh..but i love the idea of 4 n 1. the cheeky bronze MSF is sooo pretty!! it's a peachy gold which is what i love.

yes i have not been on for a long while and probably won't be on as much for a while because it's been busy!

Keenan Yang 7.84lbs and 19.5 inches long! He's got a head full of hair too!

daddy and keenan, they both really do sleep like this. so far everyone says he looks like his dad and it's true, he's got my long fingers though! haha

a quick labor story: went in and started pitocin to dilate me, 12 hours later i am stuck at 9cm dilated with a swollen cervix so we discuss a c-section. i am tired and anxious, i agree and they put me through hell but my baby is out and healthy, that's all that matters!

Transformers 2 Review and Other Stuff

I'm not going to tell you the whole entire story, but just parts of the movie that I enjoyed most.

In T2, they do swear a bit more than the first part. That's one of the first things i've noticed.

Megan Fox is still hot and Shia definitely grew up, body wise haha. The movie itself was probably 95% action. It was like they barely had any breaks inbetween to get any stories down, but I liked it that way because it kept me at the edge of my seat.

Decepticons, geez. There were so many of them, I kept on wondering why they're so much bigger and more in numbers. I wanted to see more Autobots! The only way I could tell the difference between the bots was if they were not colorful, they weren't good guys. LOL

I guess I find sexual humor funny, :P Anyways I thought it was funny when the small decepticon started humping Megan's leg. haha... at first he was like ooh you're hot but you're not so smart. The other part was when the Sector 7 dude (forgot his name already) was reporting to the naval base and they asked where he was, and he looks at the huge bot that was destroying the pyramid, and you see two big dangling metal balls. LOL

Here's what I normally do to de-stressifffyyy myself.

I turn on Bob Marley because his music is CHILL. It's not too upbeat to where my blood pressure races up. His music makes me feel as if i'm in paradise. I love bob marley! (plus i can always sense a smell of coconut when i listen to his music haha)

After I get the music goin', I fill up the tub and use this luxury bubble bath from Bath and Body Works. Sensual Luxury Bath in Black Currant Vanilla. It has a sexy smell to it, not everyone likes the same fragrances, but this one relaxes me. I believe it's $16.50 for the jar but a bit of this goes a ways. You'll prob. get a better deal when they have their sales.

I definitely make sure to give my feet some treatment also! This is the only foot scrub that I have tried and you can find it at wal-mart. I should take better care of my feet but this does a good job and it's cheap.

I put this on after the bath because it relaxes my face. The minty feeling in this cools down my face and I feel as if it is sucking out all of the stress from my face! haha

Then I slip into a very comfy nightie. Or I go naked, since I can anyways :P I get my nighties from everywhere, as long as they are comfy.

If my husband is around, I will usually have him rub this body cream on my feet. It works great! It's not greasy but feels buttery smooth. My favorite scent of this is obviously the mango mandarin.

You can't forget the lip treatment also!

my life is changing, and will always keep changing. the most ironic thing about this all is, my husband and i tried to get me pregnant last year around this time but it didn't work, so we just thought that it wouldn't happen. shortly after he left to africa, i found out maybe a week later that i was pregnant. both of my sisters have a hard time conceiving, so i figured i might fit into that factor as well but boy was i wrong. ..but hey i'm the black sheep in the family anyways :P

i mean i'm sitting there on the toilet with the pregnancy stick in my hand and one bold stripe comes up and another stripe comes up that is half fainted. my eyes open up huge and i'm like WHAT THE?? for those of you who haven't had the pregnancy scare or test, 2 stripes equals pregnant lol. i call my sister in law and she tells me to get a digital one, so i run to wal-mart and get a pack of 2 in case. ..and before you know it, it's confirmed and i snap a picture of it and send it to the hubs. he definitely was shocked, he actually didn't believe i was pregnant until we were at the clinic and the nurse confirmed it. haha..he's silly i know (that gaytard!)

What do I love about this? It definitely makes my closet look more clean instead of a bunch of squished outfits. You can also take one of the ends of the wonder hanger and hang it down to give yourself more space in your closet. I didn't do that because I have plastic drawers underneath my hanging clothes. I did hang down the clothes that I don't wear as much and put them off to the side. My husband walks into the closet and says, "did you do laundry or something?" lol ..no silly it's the wonder hanger!

I love fibre brushes because every since I discovered applying foundation with them makes it so much easier, i've started searching for a bunch of them. I love them for all purposes really. You can find this brush at Target, you know those studio tool brushes that are usually near the beauty tools section. I have yet to get one myself, I saw it but then I didn't know how it would work, but then I saw the review on makeupalley and now i've gotta go! It's $6 which is cheaper than the sonia kashuk one!

How I "do" my BROWS =)

My cousin once said to me that she believes the key to a woman's beauty are her eyebrows.

I used to never pluck/fill in my brows and man were they bushy and very fobby looking. But now I pluck them and clean them up whenever it gets messy because it can really give make a difference. When I don't clean up my brows, my eyes start to look tired and small, but I noticed that when I tweeze and shape them, they definitely bring life to my face.

1. naked brow, i just tweezed them and there's still some thin hairs around! i've been looking for a good home wax kit. we'll see.

2. i start by filling in the ends of my brows because usally that lets me test to see if my powder is too dark or not :P but filling in at the ends is usually a start for most girls too.

3. with my eyebrow brush outline my brows from the beginning and to where it meets up with the ends.

4. lastly, i fill in the rest and blend it in to make sure the lines don't look too harsh.

I use the Ardell powder. You can find this at walgreens or cvs, this one came in an kit with arch stencils. Usually I dip my eyebrow brush into the second and third color. i usually use the first color underneath my brows to neutralize it, that's why there's so much of it gone! :)

A few tips when tweezing:

1. Sanitize your tweezer. Oils from before can cause breakouts! (i've learned plenty of times)

2. After you are done tweezing, put toner onto a cotton ball to wipe up the mess and close up some pores :) Or simply cold water on a cotton ball if you don't want to use toner.

3. Let your brows rest and get the redness out before applying moisturizer or anything.

I really wanted to just look for something quick to swipe on my face for my lazy-ass days esp. being pregnant and soon to be mom, babies will get to you. I remember when I took care of my nephew when he was 1 years old running around, waking up super early in the morning. He'd come knock on my door and want me to feed him or play with him, so i'd have to quickly put my face on for the day. (i mean quickly, my nephew is a hyped up little kid that causes trouble every second)

Anyways, I found this at target and since it said "Dual Coverage", I was like hrmm okay. I have been happy with the products that I have tried from her, esp. her brushes too. I didn't think..this would let me down.

Okay honestly, this is more of a setting powder, not a foundation! It really doesn't even stick onto your face unless you have a good oily moisturizer on. I tried this using a buffer brush, fluffy brush, applying it wet (which looked super cakey), and no good results.

However, I did try it on top of my revlon/mac sff today and it definitely did set the foundation well!

My experience: I use this whenever I know i'm going out for a long time. I live in sunny florida and the weather here in the summer time can seriously melt all of my makeup off lol. BUT with this foundation, I have found it to stay even after jogging in the humid! I mean I was sweating like crazy, and after I got into the car I checked the mirror and was like WHAT? IT'S STILL ON MY FACE! I even patted my nose and nothing came off. I tell my friends that this stuff is sorta like paint lol.

I suggest: to always wear a primer when wearing this. This stuff is oil-free but it is hard to remove. I'll most likely break out if I do not wear a primer when wearing this. Also, I use a stippling brush when applying this. It makes it look airbrushed and makes me feel like i'm not pounding on a ton of liquid paint onto my face! The best stuff I have found to remove this off my face is Philosphy's Purity cleanser. You can prob. use other makeup removers, but I use the purity cleanser specifically to remove this off my face.

HG Foundation TAG!

I use Mac's Studio Fix fluid in NC42 and mix it with a bit of Revlon Colorstay for oily/combo skin in Golden beige. One is too dark and one is too light so both of them put together makes my skin color! :P

I'm going to finish up my NC42 bottle and just stick with colorstay. I find them both really similar except colorstay is cheaper! I use my ulta highlighter brush to apply it because it gives me an airbrushed look and I don't have to use much of the foundation either. When I used my blending sponge, it felt really heavy on my face but the highlighter brush takes half the time and less heavy.

I was inpsired to do this after DSK's version! I have read all 4 books and I plan on collecting the t-shirts eventually. I know it's teen-ish but like I care. I once got into an argument with someone because they said I was too old for Hello Kitty! grr. *whatever*

My favorite character from Twilight? ALICE!! she's the biggest sweetheart ever and in the end she proves to be the smartest in my opinion.

My experience: I am in looove with these. I have had some pretty bad experiences with hair products not delivering what they're supposed to. I used to use Suave professionals but I found that they wore out my color fast.

I remember the first time I tried the shampoo I was like WOW! It feels great on my head. LOL. After I rinsed out the shampoo my hair did not feel squeaky dry clean, which is a good thing because I could tell it was holding my natural moisture in it. The conditioner works as well as the shampoo, it doesn't make my hair greasy and when my hair dries, it's super soft.

I have gone through 3 bottles of the shampoo already! Definitely worth a try!

Not that many people know the story of how my husband and I. It's a long story but I can sum it up by saying we were long distance AND my family did not approve of him. He lived in florida at the time and I lived in minnesota. I remember the first time I ever came to visit him I seriously fell in love with florida and HIM.

Today we went to eat at the Asian King Buffet and we had not been there for a super long time. Then I said to my husband while we were eating, "hey, you took me here that night i ranaway to be with you", and he says, "no, you didn't runaway, you were just coming home." My heart melted. <3>

..and to satisfy your curious minds, yes i left everything behind to follow my hhhh-eart. :) i don't regret a single day. it's just hard doing long distance when your heart is half way across the world or 2000 miles away from you.

They remind of of Burt's Bees shimmer lip balms BUT I think I prefer these more. It claims to be 95% organic, but what do I care? lol..just being honest.

They have a subtle shimmer, not overly done. The flash just exaggerated the shimmers but there is just a tiny hint of color in each lip balm.

Texture you wonder? The reason why I prefer these more over the burt's bees is because these glide on smooth and I don't feel like i'm applying a bunch of glitter on my lips.

There is a subtle mint smell and feel to these. I don't like feeling as if my lips are always numb or have that tingling feeling to it. To my surprise, I wore the cotton candy one before I went to bed and woke up with non-chapped lips!

Would I buy this again? Yes I would. BUT because I love trying new balms/chapsticks all the time I think these are gonna hve to wait a while before I come back to them again (hey i have 3 of them as of now anyways!)

My other chapsticks I have lying around. Strawberry Carmex with SPF 15 in it and Nivea's Kiss of Moisture with SPF 4.

I'm not one to care much about having SPF on my lips (i know i know) but for some reason these 2 just have em'.

Nivea's Kiss of moisture..sucks. haha, I say that because I find that I have to reapply within a short amount of time and it really does nothing to my lips except make it feel moisturized for like 10 minutes.

Carmex in Strawberry does an awesome job at keeping my lips moisturized, esp. when i'm sleeping. (this is great for those of you who like to breathe through your mouth when you sleep). The only thing I don't like about this is the numbing feeling it gives me.

I posted a pre-review on this earlier about a month ago or so and here are the results so far.

I have definitely noticed lightening in my scars. It's not dramatic but it is noticeable! My acne scars were very dark and pigmented, but after being faithful to this cream, it's showing better result.

This does not leave my face shiny or an oil slick, my skin just absorbs it all right in. If you plan on wearing this under your makeup, you should wear moisturizer with SPF or some sort of sunblock protection, since alpha hydrox is known to make skin more sensitive to the sun.

Another thing I have noticed is that the fine lines on my forehead have reduced and smoothed out. For $6 this will definitely last a long time and it works for me!

How do I use this?

Well I want the full effect on this so after cleansing my face, I make sure to exfoliate with my St.Ive's apricot scrub, tone, then massage this cream onto my face with both hands. I also apply this onto my neck and I have definitely noticed the lines on my neck smooth out.

What are the cons to this?

You might feel tingling or stinging but it says it on the label that it's going to happen. (i personally don't mind it)

The smell - it smells a bit like vinegar

Another cool thing about this?

I've read reviews where women say they put this on their feet and areas where they feel needs exfoliation or smoothness. I have not tried it anywhere else but on my face and neck, and i've seen some improvement on my neck.

36 WKS Pregnant and the Countdown begins!

Here i am. 40lbs later. Trust me, I have gained that much weight and it's not easy being pregnant! Any day now my little guy can come out and i'm so nervous/excited/anxious. Lately I have been super paranoid of any sort of pain I feel. I'm definitely experiencing ligament pain since my body isn't used to the stretching and growth.

This was me in the beginning of the pregnancy. I think i'm 7 weeks here. (hubs was in africa at the time but he's been home for a while now) i miss my stomach :(

I am really excited about my total body makeover after Keenan comes out. Oh yeah, I told my husband that I deserve a shopping spree after I lose weight, so forever 21 better be on the watch out!

I do have a few goals.. :)

1. Lose all the weight i've gained by December (if not anytime sooner)

2. Fit into my skinny jeans again, i have just been wearing shorts my whole pregnancy.

3. Get back to being a health nut!

4. Grow my hair out and keep it either jet black or it's normal color (dark brown).

5. Get rid of stretch marks on my love handles, that's where they chose to grow.

6. Hope that happyprofile.com gets a better ranking on alexa!

LOTD and Sushi

Dressed up just a little to go out to the new sushi place...

So I found my NYX lipgloss favorite in French Kiss in our guest bathroom. lol man have I missed it. It's on my lips)

Bonsai hibachi & sushi. I ordered the chicken tempura, which was pretty good. I love tempura on veggies too! I ate them before the chicken.

Our sushi we ordered. We tried the "Nini" and it was delish! it's smoked salmon, crab, and cream cheese deep fried!! It's so funny because I call my husband "nee nee" and he loved the sushi roll. Also the caterpillar roll (one of my faves) in the middle.

The waitress was like, are you pregnant? She was wondering why we didn't eat the raw one lol. Like yeah! don't i look pregnant to you?

Ulta Professional Highlighter Brush Review!

Overall Rating: 4 out of 5

Pros: this brush is known to be a dupe of Mac's 187 BUT i do NOT own one so i can't say if they are comparible. but if it is a dupe, the price is a pro compared to Mac's.

-does the job a stippling brush should

-gives me a nice airbrushed look

-bristles are soft

-handle is long and sturdy

Cons: price, i own the sonia kashuk highlighter brush and i feel it does the same job for $10

My experience: when i first washed it, it shedded! i mean i was so mad, just the black bristles though. i thought, maybe once it dries it won't be so bad...then when it dried, i tried applying my studio fix liquid with it and i had to literally pick off 7 pieces of black bristles off my face! i was going to go back to Ulta to return it.

BUT, after the second wash there wasn't any shedding. *whew* i didn't want to pay $26 for a brush that sheds! i haven't noticed any shedding after the first wash since.

my real take on this: if you feel like spending a little, you should get this. BUT, if you are on the hunt for a cheaper version, get the Sonia Kashuk highlighter brush. it has never shedded on me and it does the same job this brush does.

New York Color Metro Quad Quartet

What do I love most about this? It's small and travel friendly. (i hate bulky packaging!) It's got all the colors you need for a look. The small applicator with the brush on the end is great for the inner corner of your eyes.

The best of Broadway over ELF's eyeshadow primer.

The shadows are buildable and can be sheer too.

...ranting: so i've been breaking out a little bit and i'm trying to figure out what it is. i ran out of my philosphy purity cleanser so i have to order more. an 8oz of it lasted me 5 months! i need more :( i don't know if it's the lack of sleep that i've been getting that's causing me to break out but i hope it is. i hate switching up products but the only new product i've added to my routine is the ABH pore refiner...so we will see. Or my husbands greasy lips kissing me on my forehead.

I'm sorry if I responded twice to your previous comments ladies! Our internet went out because of shitty wiring and now we have a temporary line running through our backdoor! UGH! So lately i've just been at Panera Bread using their free wi-fi there and checking up on your blogs =)

I swear I go into sally's like once or twice a month. I get 15% off plus the sally card since I spend a minimum amount there each month..lol. The shampoo and conditioner were a BOGO for $10 and so were the Beyond Belief products. I bought the pore minimizing scrub and the witch hazel (again). The witch hazel is amazing if you are suffering with acne! I'm not lying. It's moisturizing and doesn't not leave my skin tightened and dry. I'll do a review later on the pore scrub.

The shampoo is BLUE! I'll have to do a full review in 2 weeks or so. So far so good. Coloresse products are supposed to be sulfate free.

i am not joking, if you want comfortable COLOR contact lens, these are it.

these definitely make my eyes look bigger and it has a black "ring" around the color fusions. if you are a contact lens wearer, you know that finding comfortable lens can be a bit difficult and colored lenses have always irritated my eyes. but these feel like i'm not wearing anything and they are as comfortable as my acuvue 2.
