Review: New Maybelline Dream Sun Bronzer in Matte Medium

New 2013 Maybelline Dream Sun Bronzer in Matte Medium

Maybelline has come out with some new bronzers just in time for summer!  I recently purchased this at my local CVS for $9 but I'm sure you can find it for a cheaper price at other stores.

I purchased Matte Medium because I mostly use bronzers for contouring.  My husband had made a comment about my face looking red and shortly later on that day in the car I did notice my face looking red.  Well it was my bronzer that had red undertones (no good).  So I told him to pull over and let me find something quick.

As you can see this bronzer is not that pigmented, it's not sheer but it's not heavily pigmented.  So girls who are scared to over apply bronzer, this one would work great.  I personally prefer a pigmented bronzer, so I can use a light hand and I get more for my money.

PROS
-Can be found at drugstores
-Won't have a hard time over applying
-Matte (shimmer isn't for everyone)

CONS
-price is okay, I personally would value this around $5-$6
-size is kind of small for a bronzer

Hope this review helped you if you're thinking about purchasing a new bronzer.  I honestly won't repurchase this unless it is on clearance.  ;)

Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine LIp Gloss in Electric Shock Review

Maybelline's claim is that this is 100% wax free

The texture is quite thick, there isn't a smell to it really and you can't taste much either.  This is definitely pigmented and glossy.  It sort of leaves a stain after the gloss wears off.

would I buy this again?  it's 50/50.  it's a great gloss, but i've been more into stains lately so we will see.

It's Been Alright Today..

This is probably the most recent picture of me dolled up. January has been crazy but not so bad either. Keenan is almost 19 months and is learning everyday. The other night he leaned in to kiss me on the lips and I was shocked but filled with joy. ..then he leaned over and kissed Walley. HAHA

I am still into makeup but I find myself being more concerned with my skin now. The best thing that has happened to my skin has been Retin A because it prevents acne and wrinkles for me. It's the only thing that works for my skin and also, it takes my redness away.

I bought Careprost from alldaychemist and I will update you all on how it goes. Careprost is the generic version of latisse, so we will see how it works for my pathetic eyelashes. I'm also trying it on my brows so they can grow more where it's sparse.

Walley, me, and Keenan..he's growing too fast!

The products I used in this picture are:

Face: Estee Lauder Maximum Full Cover foundation (review possibly later)

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder

Cheeks: Make Up For Ever HD cream blush in #4 ..i think

Lips: Maybelline Color Sensation lipstick in Are You Red-dy

Eyes: Model 21 Eyelashes

Mac Fluidline Liner

Wet n Wild brow in dark brown

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipsticks + Others!!!

I dropped by Walgreen's yesterday and picked up a few items besides the gripe water I had to get for my lil munchkin's hiccups. babies..expensive! haha
These are the two I picked up. They are BOGO this week if you haven't picked any up yet! Their foundations are too! If you've bought these already, do you notice a playdough smell to it? I do, a little annoying but the pigmentation is wonderful and also staying power.

Me and my lil munchkin. He's growing up so fast :(

I am wearing Pink Please in these pictures. =)

So as you can see, he loves to stick his tongue out. Why is he wearing a bib? Because the little rat is teething already and he's not even 3 months! He chews on his hands whenever he gets a chance to, drools like crazy so he has to wear bibs so he won't get a rash on his chest, and has been picky with bottles. The great thing for now at least is that he's been sleeping through the night. (thank you Jesus! mommy is finally feeling better!)
As for the weight loss, it's coming along. I feel better each day. My doctor had me take the huge ibuprofen pills and it made me gain back 7-8 pounds. I was pretty pissed when I found out that those pills made me retain water. It took a while for me to get it off too but things are back to normal. The Paragard i had inserted gave me cramps that felt worse than my contractions, at a few points i couldn't walk. BUT they faded away so things aren't so bad, and it's a great form of birth control since I don't have to take any hormonal pills.

Oh yeah, I won Denysia's giveawayyyy!!! I was so excited this morning when I found out. I've never won anything but I can't wait. She's got so many cute things in there.
