Review: NEW Maybelline Baby Lips in Strike A Rose

I was in search for a tinted balm and didn't want to fork up too much $$ for it.  I ran across these at Wal-Mart.  The bright colors caught my eye.  I have tried another color but I wanted to give this another try. 

The texture is very moisturizing and my lips don't have a bad reaction to it like it did to the Revlon lip butters. 

 

The color comes up a pinkish orange on my lips, bright but i'm okay with wearing bright lips. 

 

PROS:

moisturizing
tinted color will show up on lips
smells good
cheap

CONS:
none that I can think of :)

 

If you're a fan of tinted balms i'd suggest trying these!

Maybelline Whisper Lipstick in Oh La Lilac

These are super soft and pigmented.  It reminds me of Revlon lip butters but I had a bad reaction to those.  These claim to be wax free..so that's probably why my lips don't mind this.  I do want to try more colors so we will see.  These are great if you want a balm like feel with some color to perk up your lips. 

I love cool toned lipcolors!

Kot Von D Everlasting Love Liquid Lipstick in Jeffree Review

Excuse the breakouts, i've been going through a lot lately but i've been trying to cheer up and keep pressing forward. ;)

So moving onto the review!

Pros:  Great color

Cons:  staying power is not so great.  after eating a sandwich, I could see a nice part of this completely gone on the inner parts of my lips.  reapplying can get cakey if you don't remove it all first then reapply (sucks).  the tube is very small, when you first apply the lipstick it is very liquidy, then dries to a matte finish.  if you aren't careful with how you apply it, it can end up looking uneven and clownlike :( 

would I buy this again?  nope.  comparing this to stila's liquid lipcolor, this definitely takes a beating.
