My Favorite Moisturizer, Keep Me Young Please! ♥

Eucerin's Daily Protection Moisturizing Face Lotion with SPF 30

What's so great about this?  It has not caused any breakouts for me and it's not greasy, not to mention the SPF 30.  I use this year round because I have combo/oily/acne prone skin.  It sinks in really fast and it doesn't interfere with my makeup.  It does leave a white case but this I like for when I'm staying home and just want something to tone down the redness in my skin. 

Who won't like this?  Someone looking for a sunscreen that doesn't leave a white cast and want's something moisturizing. 

I can't stress enough about how important it is to wear sunscreen on your face everyday even in the winter.  I've noticed a few sun spots on the side of my face where the sun usually hits.  This i'm sure is from me not wearing sunscreen in the past, PLUS I lived in Florida for 4 years.  Just glad I didn't do too much damage.  Sunscreen will protect you from early aging.  So stay young while you can be happy.  No one likes an old bitter person. 

Lately i've been telling myself to not feel discouraged and to keep moving on even if I have to ignore certain people in my life.  It's sad that I even have to, but I don't want the negative energy around me.

I've never really been a hater in my life, not much from what I remember and if I was, it would most likely be because they didn't like me first. 

I'm so over high school drama, and I think most haters that exist are still in that phase.  They can't stand the fact that people are happy, so they knock them down or try their best to. 

When they spend more time loving themselves first, they'll start to shed a little more light and stop the hating.  I can't stand it when worstly a friend feels jealousy towards me or some kind of hate/resentment. 

What really bugs me is when people think i'm spoiled.  I am definitely not spoiled.  I do have my own car, I don't have to work, and I have a few materials that may make it seem like I am spoiled, but I shouldn't even have to explain myself. 

Behind the scenes I am:  scrubbing down the toilets, tubs, grease and grime.  I am washing dishes, cleaning the windows, vacuuming dirt and crumbs off the floor, cutting up raw chicken/meat, chopping vegetables, cooking for goodness!, cleaning the dishes, loading the laundry, drying the laundry, folding the laundry, putting the laundry back, picking up toys, feeding my son seperately because he doesn't like to eat what we eat, keeping my son entertained, exercising so i won't lose myself, dusting, wiping, changing diapers, figuring out what i'm going to cook next..the list goes on.

I don't sit there and have things get handed to me.  I do work at home even if it's not at a retail place.  If I didn't lift a finger here at home our place would look like a scene from Hoarders. 

I know I shouldn't let people get to me but me being the nice person I am, it does get to me.  I just can't understand why people can have so much hate in their heart sometimes.  I just have to remind myself that they need more love.

Ok, obviously my hair is not the color on the box, but it's crazy right now lol.  I don't think i've ever had it this color so i'm still getting used to it and i'm sure it's going to lighten up soon.

You will have to leave this on longer.  I think it's the new formula but my hair feels soft and smooth.  There are other shades and i'm excited about them because I don't have to go as far as bleaching my hair just to get color.

Tapped (the movie) review/impact ‼

I heard about this film a while ago from a friend of mine, or at least I remember her mentioning it.

The documentary is about how major companies like Nestle, Pepsi, etc.. go to small towns with clean drinking water, pump their water, filter it, then bottle it for us to drink!  It also talks about the effects of plastic bottles, BPA, and other dangers that these bottles cause.

The apartments that we are living in now just starting charging us for water.  It was free but i'm assuming with loss of tenants, they are upping the rent and making us pay for the water/sewage.  Our first bill came back $108 for one month.  I was really shocked as I try not to waste water.  I do laundry when I feel the load is big, and I try to cut back on using the dish washer. 

A few days ago I decided to try turning off the water inbetween washes in the shower and it was sort of changing.  The silence that was present while I was shampooing/ conditioning/ shaving made me realize how much water is wasted during those times. 

I just wanted to share this because it has made me think differently about bottled water and just conserving in general.

a MATTE orange and pink ombre. 

end story though.. they didn't dry in time and smudged a little so i did my toes in these exact colors.  fun to look at and bright.  just the way i like it! 

**another note:  don't be scared to do something because people think you are copying them or follow them.  trends are trends, and you like what you like.  when i see something i like, i will come around to it.  i don't care about being "original" or whatever, as long as i'm happy..and me being happy is a great feeling! 

Vichy Dermablend Foundation Review ♥

I'm sure most of you who have heard of this foundation, heard it from Lisa Eldridge's video with concealing acne.  I'm going to give an honest review because I know there are raves about this, i'm not saying this was a bad product but i'm just sayin...

I got this in 25 Nude and i'm normally NC25 - NC30 in MAC.  The color is a better match because i'm sure the other colors would have been too dark or too light.

PROS

♥ easy to blend

CONS
♥ not long wearing as stated, even if set with powder.  i found that it disappeared in few places as the day went on.  i wouldn't use this as a concealer because it would probably fade throughout the day revealing your blemishes.  i've tried mixing this in with other foundations to give a more full coverage but found that it still rubbed off and the other foundation would still be there (if that makes any sense)

Overall:  I wouldn't repurchase this again because lack of staying power.  This is important for me because i'd like to rely on something to cover a spot/scars all day until I take it off.

This is how it looks when you squeeze it out (obviously).  It is really easy to blend and the reason why I love it is because it doesn't slip off my face.  This also works well under makeup if you want to add powder foundation on top of it to give it more coverage. 

PROS:  long wearing

light - medium coverage (definitely evens out skin tone)

looks natural

feels lightweight

CONS:  price ($36)

this does oxidize, so try getting one said lighter or getting matched

♦♥♦ Rose Gold Fossil Boyfriend Watch Review ♦♥♦

 It doesn't look as rose gold here but it definitely is!  I wanted to do a review because I know this trend has been around for a while now and some of us are addicted to shopping online..and tend to just order on impulse!

I was pretty close to ordering this online but I decided to stop by Macy's to have a look at the real thing.  I do get intimidated sometimes from the sales people that work the jewelry/sunglass/watch counters.  You ever get that feeling that they don't think you can afford their stuff?  Yeah..that's the feeling.

On to the watch.. I read on a few forums that Fossil makes Michael Kors watches too..they're much more affordable.  I don't feel as if the watch is cheap in any way.  It doesn't feel too heavy and I had this custom fitted.  The crystals feel secure in their place and and I esp love the crystals in the dial area. 

I can't find the name for the model of this one on their website anymore, but i'd suggest just dropping by to take a look if you are interested in purchasing a pricey watch.

My husband actually made me take him back to Macy's where I found the watch so he could buy it.  He doesn't buy my love, but I know he likes to make sure I feel loved.  so if you're reading this babe.. i've loved you even before everything you've given me! ♥

Viet Bistro at Eden Center.. I had the combination clay pot.  It was a little salty but still good.

Egg rolls I didn't get a chance to eat but they looked good!

Dessert afterwards!  This is vietnamese jello.. The texture is definitely different from regular jello but it's good once it grows on you.

Speakers for My iPhone ♥♥♥

i LOVE this little device by Philips.  It's called Fidelio.  It has good bass and doesn't go extremely loud.  You don't have to set the time because as soon as you plug your iPhone in, it takes the time from your iPhone and displays it.  It also has a nightlight feature and another usb plus so you can charge two at once.  The material feels good and the speakers are sturdy..I paid $60 for this, for that i'd say I think it's worth it because it doesn't feel cheap.

It Looks Gloomy Out..

Usually when it looks gloomy out my hair goes right up into a bun but lately i've been loving the hair scarf trend.  I grabbed a few scarves from AC Moore for $3 each!  It was a steal.  (ac moore is a craft store just in case you aren't familiar with them)

Kahlua cake MMMmm

Kahlua, I never tried this until I made this cake for a barbeque I went to this weekend with some friends.  I saw the recipe online and thought it would be fun.

Kahlua cake recipe:
1 box of Chocolate Fudge cake
1 big box of instant pudding (or just buy chocolate pudding that's made already)
Heath bars (crushed, I put mine in the food processor)
Cool whip, medium sized tub
3/4 cup of Kahlua

To layer:
chocolate cake with some kahlua poured over
pudding
cool whip
toffee
repeat :)

The cake was a hit and i'm glad everyone enjoyed it!
